People are often unreasonable,
illogical,
and self-centered;
forgive them anyway.
If you are kind,
people may accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives;
be kind anyway.
If
you are successful,
You will win some false friends and some true enemies;
succeed anyway.
If
you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend
years building,
Someone could destroy overnight;
build anyway.
If you find serenity
and happiness,
They may be jealous;
be happy anyway.
The good you do
today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
do good anyway.
Give the world
the best you have,
And it may never be enough;
give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God;
it never
was between you and them anyway.

A Response of Surrender
Lord Jesus,
You have been incredibly generous with me.
In dying for me,
You have secured forgiveness for my sins
and have opened the gates of Heaven to me.
You have poured out upon me
new life in Your Holy Spirit.
You have showered me with gifts and graces
and many other blessings.
I want to respond generoulsy, too.
I want to surrender my life to You.
I want the light of Your truth
to penetrate any darkness in my life.
I'm ready to face my sins
and see my motives.
If there is anything that keeps me
apart from You or hinders me
from fully living Your life,
I want it purified.
I want You to enter in and take possession
of this life that is already Yours.
I want You to rule
and reign over me completely.
I want to be holy so that Your power
might flow through me,
so that men and women everywhere
might come to know how much
You love them and that they too
might give their lives to You.
Hear my prayer,
and let my cry come unto You.
Amen.

 GOD said NO!
I asked GOD to take away my pride, and
GOD said NO!
He said it's not for Him to take away
but for me to give up.
I asked GOD to make sick people whole, and
GOD said NO!
He said, "their spirits ARE whole,
their bodies are only temporary."
I asked GOD to grant me patience, and
HE said NO!
"Patience is the by-product of tribulation.
It isn't granted, it is earned."
I asked GOD to give me happiness, and
GOD said NO!
I give blessings, happiness is up to you."
I asked GOD to spare me pain, and
HE said NO!
"Suffering draws you apart from worldly
cares and draws you closer to ME."
I asked GOD to make my spirit grow, and
GOD said NO!
HE said "you must grow on my own.
I will help with regular pruning."
I asked GOD if HE loved me, and
HE said Yes!
"I gave MY only SON to die for you.
And that's why you will be in
Heaven with HIM one day."
So I asked GOD to help me love others
as much as HE Loves me.
And HE said:
